Back to Boston for medical care to check my heart 2/19

February 2019 back in Boston PCP says he is not familiar with Xanax - refers to pain management at MGH MGH - says they don’t work with Xanax that PCP can prescribe - since its a holiday in boston - to call PCP doc on call - I get no response so go to the closest ER on Marathon Monday as I has no pills left and am already late on a dose ER gives 2 days of Xanax - explains laws are changing PCP’s don’t want to prescribe anymore but that he HAS to until I find someone else to help me apparently this is not true PCP then writes scripts of both Xanax and Valium - tells me to find a Psychiatrist which I search for 12 weeks without any success.  PCP gets consult from Psych Dr. Siegel at Mt Auburn. She calls me and tells me her approach is to put me inpatient to do Phenobarbital detox for 1-3 days but I’m only on 1.8mg’s of Xanax at the time and by the time I get into McLean I’ll be completely off it. Treatment Plan is to travel to Dr. Rosa’s Rock Hill, NY office for twice daily appointments 2/13/17-2/21/17 - Treatment Week 1  C1 is adjusted everyday Very Unstable If don’t take flexeril & diazepam every 4 hrs increased of twitching and jerking 2/20/17 - Treatment Week 2 C1 Very unstable Dr Rosa Adjusts C1 both in AM and again in PM 2/21/17 - After 2 weeks of constant C1 instability, Dr. Rosa refers to see Dr. Magaziner, of North Brunswick, NJ for Neural Prolotherapy and Prolotherapy to C1-C7 that same day March 2017 Continue weekly 3 days of treatment with Dr. Rosa 3/3/17 see Dr.Magaziner for Neural prolotherapy of shoulders, face and arms April 2017 Symptoms do not improve. See Dr. Rosa for an adjustment. Spend the night. Get checked again the next am before being cleared to go home. Continue Flexeril and Diazepam May 2017 3 Flexeril; 2-3 5 mg Diazepam per day to  keep twitching, jerking and muscle spasms at bay I am advised to lift anything heavier than a fork May - Sept  Sl

Orthospinology and Atlas Orthogonal and finally find Dr. Scott Rosa

Dec - Jan I Try the only 2 upper cervical specialist in MA Dr Jim Dolan - I see twice - he makes me so much worse completely unprofessional Dr Cynthia Grosso, Springfield, MA - she refers me to ER trauma doc Dr. Paul Kerner in Springfield, MA Dr. Kerner says no surgeon will want to touch me. He calls MGH Neurosurgery to ask for someone to see me ASAP. I never get a call from them. I am rapidly declining and cannot stop twitching. Completely bedridden in agony. 1/28/17   Right neck goes into spasms causing arms and legs to jerk and convulse but never lost consciousness go to the ER where they gave me a several medications until my twitching decreases but does not stop ER script 5mg Diazepam x3 1/29/17 Left neck starts to spasms like the right side had. Continue Diazepam & Flexeril to decrease twitching and jerking movements 2/9/17 Fonar MRI with CSF Flow with Dr. Rosa  Diagnosis - C1 & C2 rotated, Cerebellar Tonsillar Ectopia, CSF fluid build up, compression of jugular vein, pit

6 Months Post ACDF C5-6-7 with LDR ROI-C

September 2016 - 6 month post ACDF with Dr. Franck  Symptoms remaining: neck pain Stiffness body twitches ringing in ears A little dizzy(lightheaded) when bending over Physical therapist feels C1 on right side won’t move like on the left side Upright MRI shows capsular synovitis  and C1/c2 instability is still there November 2016 11/7/16 Dr. Franck suggests C1/C2 screw fixation and craniectomy scheduled for 11/14  MRI and DMX show ligament damage and bulging at c3 and 4 DMX inventor Dr. John Postlewaite says c1 is “Stuck” not unstable but Dr. Franck says it is unstable and needs emergency life threatening surgery Dr. Franck calls me at 6am asking me to tell my attorney to turn over any of the auto claims money  We scheduled surgery but I cancel when Dr. John Postlewaite tells me Dr. Hunt may help fix my c1 Instead of the surgery I try Orthospinology I start upper cervical treatment with Dr. Julie Hunt in Clearwater from Nov - Dec

After Accident #3 7/2014

After MVA #3 Right back to where I was after MVA #2.  Daily incapacitating headache and neck pain. I am able to work from home part time managing an offshore team of software engineers. Every Day, by late afternoon(nightfall), I can’t hold my head up anymore, head and neck pain become excruciating and the only thing that helps is laying down with the heating pad wrapped around my head. Could not cook, clean, prepare meals, do laundry, socialize, go out to dinner, listen to music, be intimate with my partner, hug people. Additional symptoms: ringing in ears, pulsating heartbeat sound at back of neck and head, unable to lie on back of head without feeling faint, when bending over, getting up or out of a car feel dizzy, lightheaded and faint to the point where I feel like I may blackout, feel like I’m being strangled behind my thought Pictures of me after MVA #3: Symptoms prior to surgery tingling in left arm throbbing, raw, relentless pain deep in my neck much worse than ever before hor

After Accident #2 8/2013

After MVA #2  I could not function at all. I was either at home, bedridden in a dark room without any sound, light or stimulation or at the doctors begging for relief from the intense pain for the first 5 months until finding Dr. Hauser and prolotherapy. Any turning of my head in the “no” movement would cause a grinding and cracking. I could feel my C1 popping out and symptoms would escalate within moments. Within a few hours I would be in agony until chiropractic manipulation. I was getting chiropractic adjustments of my C1, C2 and/or occiput several days per week. My C1, C2 and occiput would not stay in place and the grinding sounds increased. My pain got worse and worse. It was completely debilitated.  I could not go to work as the commute was long. Fortunately, my work is managing offshore software engineers which allowed me to work from home as much as possible.  I could barely stand up or walk.
